Outreach
Every year, on behalf of St. Augustine’s, the Outreach Committee is charged with giving grants to organizations that serve those in need in our own community and beyond. In 2025, we gave over $13,000 away to worthy causes. It considers and then disburses moneys to programs that are proposed by members of the congregation, members of the committee, the diocese, and our clergy. The criteria the committee uses in making decisions include a desire to strike a balance between programs that are both local, regional, and international, as well as to provide opportunities for the congregation to actively participate in the programs we support.
Each month members of our congregation provide food for the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen in Peekskill. For more information on how to participate, please contact office@stacroton.org.

Clothingfest 2026
St. A's Clothingfest is back! Clothing donation will be accepted from August 12 to September 17. Donations brought Aug 12-14 should be left on the Parish House Porch. After August 15, donations can be received at the Parish Hall, Monday through Friday, 10am-2pm....

Croton Caring
For the last several years, St. A’s has participated in Croton Caring’s Adopt-a-Family holiday gift drive. This year we provided gifts for 25 families! We also provide financial support to the organization, which addresses the needs of seniors, food insecurity and other vulnerable families in Croton.
Croton Cortlandt Food Pantry
For many years this local food bank, now operating out of Holy Name of Mary and supported by all the houses of worship in Croton, has distributed food weekly to qualified people. A number of parishioners volunteer and our Parishioners contribute food weekly.
Emergency Shelter Partnership
The Emergency Shelter Partnership is a not-for-profit organization that provides homeless men & women a safe place to sleep & have a hot meal during the coldest months of the year, November through March.
Hudson Link
Hudson Link conducts college level classes in Sing Sing through Mercy College. These classes have a very successful record of helping prisoner rehabilitation and reducing recidivism. They also prepare prisoners for life after prison and accept donations of business attire.
Immigration Legal Support Fund – Episcopal Diocese of New York
This fund was established in 2025 to provide financial support for legal fees to immigrants in our Diocese.
Neighbor’s Link
Located in Mount Kisco and with offices in Ossining and White Plains, Neighbor’s Link offers programs to both the documented and undocumented to help with legal problems, employment opportunities and language instruction. There are also programs to help families adjust and integrate into the community. There are multiple opportunities for volunteers.
New York Haiti Project
The New York Haiti Project is a partnership with St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and School in Martel, Haiti. St. Luke’s School currently serves pre-K through sixth grade.
Open Arms for Refugees
Open Arms for Refugees is a Community Sponsorship organization, bringing together neighbors, houses of worship, community organizations and key service providers in Ossining, Briarcliff, Pleasantville, and Croton, with the shared mission of welcoming and integrating federally-sponsored refugees and asylees into our community. Besides supporting this organization financially, members of St. A’s and other Croton houses of worship are volunteers for Open Arms, which within the past 4 years has supported over 20 households including individuals.
Peekskill Soup Kitchen
This program is run by the Salvation Army Center in Peekskill. Once a month, members of St. A’s contribute purchased items for a luncheon meal and we also contribute financially.
Rural and Migrant Ministry
This Episcopal Diocese program of long standing addresses the problems of migrant farm workers and issues of rural poverty in western New York State. It lobbies for better working conditions, programs for migrant children and the solution to problems of rural economic decline.
Soil
For some years we have bought toilets that turn human waste into compost in Haiti. This project not only addresses the lack of expensive infrastructure to take care of sewage, but also supplies farmers with fertilizer for their exhausted fields.
Westchester Youth Alliance
The Westchester Youth Alliance builds bridges across our diverse communities of faith, race and identity through dialogue and service that strive for justice and understanding. The program provides a vehicle for teens to engage in dialogue and action based on common values. Their activities include service projects, art project and regular gatherings to connect, reflect and plan.
